An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub is required and sold separately. Requires a secure 2.4 gigahertz Wi-Fi network connection for Hub M2/M1S/E1/M1S Gen 2, Camera Hub G2H Pro, and 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz Wi-Fi for Camera Hub G3. (Wired connection via Ethernet RJ45 for Hub M2 is also supported).
 
Compatibility and Matter Support
With an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub, the LED Strip T1 features Matter-over-bridge support (a Matter compatible Aqara hub is required) and is compatible with major third-party platforms, like Apple HomeKit, Alexa, IFTTT as well as the Aqara Home app, allowing it to be easily integrated into a wide range of smart home setups and used in smart home automation.

With the ability to individually configure each of the strip's ten segments, each segment can have different colors, dimming levels, and effects. (*Please note: RGB+IC is only available for colorful (RGB) scenes, but not for tunable white.) Plus, the LED strip is cuttable, extendable up to 32.8 ft (the extension strip is sold separately), and re-attachable, making it perfect for DIY projects.

The LED Strip T1 uses Zigbee 3.0 technology, and acts as a mesh repeater, making your Zigbee network more reliable and consume less power than Wi-Fi alternatives. Furthermore, it has a rating of IP44*, meaning it is protected against dust and can also be used outdoors. (*Please note: it only refers to the LED strip lights part, the controller and the power supply are not weatherproof and should be installed indoors).
 
 
Remarks:
1. An Aqara 3.0 hub is required, and a Matter-compatible Aqara hub is required for Matter support
2. Home Assistant support is available via the HomeKit Controller integration
3. The RGBIC effects are only available for colorful (RGB) scenes, but not for tunable white
4. After the strip is cut, 5-pin connectors and 5-core wires will be needed to reattach them, and the strip will lose its waterproof rating
5. The IP rated only refers to the LED strip itself, the Manual Controller and the Power Supply are not weatherproof and should be installed indoors
